QUESTION: Why do I need a Toastmaster at my Wedding breakfast?

ANSWER: The Toastmaster’s flair and imposing appearance adds a touch of class and complements any Wedding.  By liaising with you, using his knowledge of etiquette and correct procedures, coupled with his skills, tact and an assured and reliable service, the Toastmaster helps to make the Celebration run smoothly, giving confidence, reducing anxiety and freeing you and your family to relax and enjoy your BIG DAY.

Prior to your Wedding Day, I would meet with you to discuss your requirements and  adapt the procedures to be as formal or informal as you wish, offering you any advice you may require.

On the Wedding Day, prior to the arrival of the Wedding Party at the Reception I would:

  • Check the top table and table plan.

  • Plan a route by which to lead the Bride and Bridegroom to their table, giving maximum exposure to the guests.

  • Liaise with the caterers and photographer on his arrival.

  • Receive the early guests and direct them to the reception or bar area.

  • Receive the Bride and Bridegroom, their family and other guests.

  • Arrange the Receiving Line.

  • Introduce the guests individually.

  • Announce the Wedding Breakfast is to be served.
    Announce the entrance of the Bride and Bridegroom and escort them to the top table.

  • Introduce the Grace.

  • Say the Grace if required.

  • Introduce the Speakers and Whom they are toasting.

  • Announce and oversee the Cutting of the Wedding Cake.

  • Formally announce the closure of the Breakfast.

During the Breakfast:

  • Organise the positioning of Bouquets and Gifts to be presented.

  • Organise the signing of the Guest Book.
