The U K School of Professional Toastmasters

In March 2005, I attended the UKSPT, based in Norfolk and conveniently on my doorstep.

The school is run by its founder and senior lecturer Graham Hunt ATD. Further lectures were given by Toastmasters specialising in Royal, Civic and Corporate functions, Jewish ceremonies and weddings of many Religions and cultures.

During the course I was introduced to the fascinating history of the Toastmaster, etiquette, code of dress and duties.

Lectures also covered The Royal Family, The Peerage, the legal and licensed profession, Round Table and Rotary Clubs, Lions protocol, Mason Ladies festivals, Burns’ Suppers and sporting events.

Rituals such as the Ceremony of the Quaich, Passing the Port and The Loving Cup were also included in this very informative and enjoyable course.
